Tammy, congratulations on your upcoming retirement!

CONGRATULATIONS TO TAMMY GOETZ, SEWARD PRINCIPAL, WE WILL MISS YOU! Tammy arrived at Seward for the 2010/2011 school year. After one year as Assistant Principal, she became our Principal in 2011. For the past 10 years she has provided steady and strong leadership of our school, guiding Seward through the building expansion and many other transitions.  Whether standing by the door welcoming every student, calmly explaining budgets at Roundtable meetings, working with parents and staff on all manner, Principal Tammy Goetz, we thank you for your passion, dedication and inspiration for making a strong Seward Montessori  community! Congratulations on your retirement at the end of this school year. We will miss you more than we can express. Seward PTA: Parent Volunteers Needed

  A strong community is ESSENTIAL to Seward Montessori. We need your help. Right now. In the upcoming months we’ll be hosting a welcome gathering for new families and celebrations for outgoing students. We are also looking for your volunteer support on the Site Council and PTA. Being involved now will help us make a smooth transition for our outgoing students & families and continue the foundations of support we’ve built in our community.    To volunteer with welcoming new families to Seward events and/or celebrations for outgoing student, please email Kerry.Cashman@mpls.k12.mn.us .    The Seward Montessori Parent Teacher Association is run by volunteer parents, parents that want to be more involved and engaged in their children's education. The PTA raises funds for programming, curriculum and community building at Seward. Sat. May 15th: 2nd Annual Seward Super Spring Cycle Sale!

  Saturday, May 15 from 10 am - 4 pm outside the Seward Bike Shed Seward Bike Sharks will be selling used bikes donated by property managers and fixed up by parent and student volunteers.  Arrive early for the best selection.   Full Cycle will also be on-site selling bikes.  More on Full Cycle here: https://fullcyclebikeshop.org/about Come find your next great bike, and support these amazing programs!   Help paint our new bike shed!     Saturday, May 22 from 9am-1pm. Have you noticed the big grey shipping container next to Seward’s parking lot?  That’s our new bike shed, a  space for the new bike fleet that our Health, PE, and E2 classes will be using.  We are seeking volunteers to help  paint the shed with a mural.  The design (shown below) was created by artist Chris Harrison.  No special skills  necessary, just show up ready to help out.  We are looking for volunteers for Saturday, May 22, from 9am – 1pm.  If you’re interested, contact Matthew  Hendricks at hendricks612@gmail.com

Seward Montessori Bike Sharks: Sat. May 15th @ 10a.m. - 4p.m.

  Super Seward Spring Cycle Sale & Swap Date:  Saturday May 15 Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Where:  Area by the bike racks next to the main entrance of the school Seward will be having their 2nd Annual Super Spring Cycle Sale and Swap on May 15.  We will be selling over 100 bikes and we'll have about 25 bikes that students can exchange for bigger bikes if they've out-grown their old ones.  All proceeds will go to support the Seward Bike Program and FullCycle (a non-profit bicycle skills training shop).    Need a bike for spring?  Sign up at www.bikesharks.org . Have an extra bike you want to donate to the school?  Email rolfscholtz@gmail.com or drop them off in front of the Bike Shop doors in the multi-purpose room.

Seward Parent Book Club has been meeting since the 2018 school year. The purpose of the group is to build community and to reflect on race, racism, and identity within Seward Montessori and in our lives. Information for the next meeting is below.
