COVID-19 Testing for Students and Families & Daily Screening Questions Before School
The Minnesota Department of Health recommends all youth returning to school or taking part in
youth sports or other activities get tested every two weeks through the end of the school
year. Testing is free.
Families of students are also encouraged to get tested. While it is not a requirement, regular testing,
along with wearing masks and social distancing, can help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Daily Screening Questions Before School
1. Does your child have ONE OR MORE of these symptoms?
☐ Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
☐ Difficulty/hard time breathing
☐ New cough or a cough that gets worse
☐ New loss of taste or smell
2. Does your child have AT LEAST TWO of these symptoms?
☐ Sore throat
☐ Nausea
☐ Vomiting
☐ Diarrhea
☐ Chills
☐ Muscle pain
☐ Excessive fatigue/feels very tired
☐ New severe/very bad headache
☐ New nasal congestion/stuffy or runny nose
Stay Safe After Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine
Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated when they're able. Even after getting vaccinated, it’s
important to stay safe by following these practices:
1. Continue to get tested, wear a mask, and social distance. It is not yet known how long the vaccine
will keep you protected from COVID.
2. If you are vaccinated and were exposed or in close contact with someone who has COVID, you may
not have to quarantine. See guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health
