Super Seward Spring Cycle Sale & Swap
Date:  Saturday May 15
Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Where:  Area by the bike racks next to the main entrance of the school

Seward will be having their 2nd Annual Super Spring Cycle Sale and Swap on May 15.  We will be selling over 100 bikes and we'll have about 25 bikes that students can exchange for bigger bikes if they've out-grown their old ones.  All proceeds will go to support the Seward Bike Program and FullCycle (a non-profit bicycle skills training shop).  

 Need a bike for spring?  Sign up at www.bikesharks.org.

Have an extra bike you want to donate to the school?  Email rolfscholtz@gmail.com or drop them off in front of the Bike Shop doors in the multi-purpose room.

News from Science: Karen Utter E1 Students Learning about Air E1 is learning about Air and Weather. So far we have learned that air is a gas and is all around us. We’ve been introduced to the terms: air resistance, compressed air and air pressure. We’ve learned that air takes up space and that it is stronger than all of us when it’s in a space it can’t escape from.    E2 has started learning about Motion and Force.  We learned that a force is a push or pull and that the scientific word for creating motion is “applying a force.” We discussed speed, direction and gravity. Congratulations Mary Delander - we will miss you!

  Dear PTA, Spring is in the air.  And so is retirement. After 28 years, it's time to say goodbye. *I remember Melissa Ericksen before she was married. (Her children are now in college.) *I remember Anna Lethert as a Seward kindergartner. (Anna now teaches E-1) *I held Noah Mammen as a new born baby. (Noah is part of the Student Support team.) I've loved this job.   When I think of the PTA through the years, my heart fills with awe.  You've all made Seward the school that it is.  Strong in community.  A gift.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
