Seward Montessori has AMAZING teachers and staff! Please help us celebrate them.


Here are some ways you can help between now and Friday, June 11.

Each year we host a Staff Appreciation lunch on the Monday after school lets out for the year. This year that is Monday, June 14th. Normally we would ask you to provide baked goods and entrees to share with our staff, however, this year (as we ALL know) is different. We are planning to have the lunch catered for health/safety reasons and so in lieu of asking families to provide homemade food, we are asking for cash donations to be used toward food instead. 

 

Here are some ways you can help between now and Friday, June 11

  • Drop off gift cards (in any denomination) at the office. These can be for local restaurants/businesses, Target, Amazon, & anywhere else you think school staff might frequent. They will be used as giveaways at the lunch. If you can't drop them off at school, you can also email e-gift cards to  volunteer@sewardmontessori.com and we will be sure they are used for our teachers/staff!

  • Drop off cash donations at the office OR Venmo @Sarah-Edwards-136 and write "Seward Staff" in the notes.

  • Email volunteer@sewardmontessori.com if you'd like to help with set up on Monday, June 14th at 10:30 a.m., serve during the lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. or take down around 1 p.m.

  • Have your child write a note or poem of thanks, or draw a picture for staff. Turn into the office by Friday, June 11.  

  • Any other creative ideas for appreciating our staff are welcome! Email volunteer@sewardmontessori.com with these. :)

Congratulations Mary Delander - we will miss you!

  Dear PTA, Spring is in the air.  And so is retirement. After 28 years, it's time to say goodbye. *I remember Melissa Ericksen before she was married. (Her children are now in college.) *I remember Anna Lethert as a Seward kindergartner. (Anna now teaches E-1) *I held Noah Mammen as a new born baby. (Noah is part of the Student Support team.) I've loved this job.   When I think of the PTA through the years, my heart fills with awe.  You've all made Seward the school that it is.  Strong in community.  A gift.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
