E1 just played Health Safety Jeopardy, ask them about it! Now they will be learning about the brain, germs and diseases.
E2 is starting communicable disease research projects. They will get to choose from a list of diseases to research and using set valid and reliable websites and books will answer the questions provided for them. They will create a group google slide show and present it to the class. This project is 4 weeks long.

Hi-5 artists are working on writing their names and having fun with stamps and stickers in the art room.
Children’s house artists are learning about making patterns.
E1 artists and E2 artists are drawing mandalas and learning how to create radial balance in their art.
From Karen Utter, Science Specialist
E1 is just finishing their work with Air and Weather. They created paper thermometers and were introduced to reading the temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius. They then tested their thermometers in warm tap water and ice water. Some read and recorded the temperature on the thermometer and others simply observed it move up and down.
E2 continue to investigate Motion and Force. We discovered that the variable that the length of the string was the variable that affected the number of swings a pendulum had in 15 seconds (not the release position or weight of the bob). We are presently experimenting with motion and different sized steel balls and different release positions.
