Thurs. Insider: Roundtable, Picture Retake, Seward School Appareal and Lost & Found

Dear Families,


We have quite a busy upcoming week.


Thursday, Dec. 9 is the monthly Roundtable meeting for families and staff starting at 6:30 PM.  There will be simultaneous translation for Somali and Spanish speakers.

The agenda for the Roundtable meeting includes:  

  • E-learning: What can families expect for what we used to call “snow days” this winter?  

 

  • Deb Freeman, our Differentiation Specialist, will explain the different uses for Seesaw, Dreambox and Lexia.

 

  • Finally, parents can expect to hear more about E-learning and the resources that are available to students with their district devices and of course there will be time for Q & A.

 

Friday, Dec. 10 is our picture retake day.  If you are planning to have your child take new photos please send in your original photo package on Friday.  If your child hasn’t taken pictures yet send in a the order form with the exact amount of payment (we have no change in school)


Friday is also the last day to send in printed order forms for School apparel.  You
can order online until Sunday December 12th here  https://sewardmontessoripta.membershiptoolkit.com/spiritwear2021.


Lost and Found  Please come into school between now and Dec 16, 2021 and look through our lost and child for your child’s items.  As long as you wear a mask you can come in and check out our lost and found tables in the hallway by the courtyard.  All remaining lost and found items will be donated as of Dec 17, 2021


Remember the last day before Winter Break is December 17.  School will resume on Monday January 3rd.

Congratulations Mary Delander - we will miss you!

  Dear PTA, Spring is in the air.  And so is retirement. After 28 years, it's time to say goodbye. *I remember Melissa Ericksen before she was married. (Her children are now in college.) *I remember Anna Lethert as a Seward kindergartner. (Anna now teaches E-1) *I held Noah Mammen as a new born baby. (Noah is part of the Student Support team.) I've loved this job.   When I think of the PTA through the years, my heart fills with awe.  You've all made Seward the school that it is.  Strong in community.  A gift.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Children House: Cheers & Tears at drop off 9:30 AM or zoom at noon on Friday

  Welcome to Seward Montessori School.  We are excited to have your child join us this Friday.  We would like to invite all parents to a get to know you gathering either in person directly after drop-off at 9:30 AM or on a zoom call at noon on Friday, September 10. This is a chance to share this big day with other families experiencing similar feelings, whether you are happy, sad, nervous or excited. We want you to have the opportunity to meet other families in your Seward Community. If you are dropping your child off in person and have a few minutes join us in the Seward Garden--just head south of the main entrance on 28th Ave. and the Garden is between the parking lot and Matthews Park.  We will have coffee and donuts from 9:30 - 10AM If your child rides the bus or you don’t have time in the morning please join us online for zoom call with other Children’s House parents.  Our zoom call will start at noon on Friday, September 10th and can be access through this link .   Meeting ID: 45
