Three Volunteers Needed to help Sort Books: Thurs., 1/27 from 2-4PM @ Seward Montessori

We'd like to get the books sorted for the annual Read Around ahead of students returning to in-person classes and are looking for two or three volunteers to help sort books by age and lay them out in front of the Media Center Thursday, January 27th between 2 and 4pm.  Anyone interested in helping out, please sign up at   https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/206998275963734057/false#/invitation and don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions at volunteer@sewardmontessori.org

Parents, community organizations, school board members and district officials from across Minnesota will be participating in a day of advocacy to push lawmakers and Governor Walz to fully fund special education. Monday, May 9th we will gather at the State Capitol and online to  urge lawmakers to use 9% of the state surplus to fully fund special education .   In Person  - The State Capitol is open to the public and we plan on gathering on  Monday, May 9th . News from Science: Karen Utter E1 Students Learning about Air E1 is learning about Air and Weather. So far we have learned that air is a gas and is all around us. We’ve been introduced to the terms: air resistance, compressed air and air pressure. We’ve learned that air takes up space and that it is stronger than all of us when it’s in a space it can’t escape from.    E2 has started learning about Motion and Force.  We learned that a force is a push or pull and that the scientific word for creating motion is “applying a force.” We discussed speed, direction and gravity.
